To members of the First Christian Church congregation and ALL the visitors to this page:
THANK YOU for welcoming me back. I especially want to thank you for thinking of me, sending me cards, and most of all including me in your prayers. It is thanks to your prayers that I believe I have made the progress I have through the accident. I cannot thank you enough of thinking of others!!
THANK YOU!!!
Marie
Editor’s note: Marie is back in Lincoln and currently residing at a rehab house known as “Our Homes”. It is located at 2450 Q Street, but we don’t have information as to visiting hours, etc… Marie is able to check her own smail mail and email, so please feel free to contact her directly. Please note that Marie will be spending Thanksgiving in Iowa with her parents.
Small steps of progress it may seem but God sure does work in mysterious ways.
We all have so much to be thankful for this season.
I hope and pray you will soon be home and back to routine you want.
Chris

It was good to see you in church, Marie, and we enjoyed Thanksgiving Dinner with you. It is good to see you progressing so well. It takes a ton of time, and is frustrating to “be patient”, but it is the only way. We look forward to seeing you in church as you are able. Randy & the kids.

Marie,
We met briefly some time ago when you were at Madonna Rehab. I am a member of New Covenant Bible Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I am familiar with your parents and sister as she is one of our missionaries serving over seas.
I continue to pray for complete recovery and trust that God’s grace and mercy cover you daily as you face challenges. Bless you and your commitment to your faith.
Ps 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will councel you and watch over you.
Blessings to you,
Danette Brooks

I am Marie’s former Para at Lux and so glad to have found this website last fall to keep up on Marie’s progress. Marie if you read this I’m praying and rooting for you. Sounds like you are doing well and getting closer to home. One of my friends at Lux gave me the news after your accident and I have been able to keep in touch with your progress through all the wonderful people who care so much for you. Thanks to all and .. We love you “Chili”. Jean.
